Privilege Speeches & Resolutions

  • Responsible Pet Ownership & Rabies Prevention
    • Councilor Jose Maria B. De la Llana stressed the importance of responsible pet care to prevent rabies.
    • Resolution 2025-843 was unanimously approved, urging the City Veterinarian's Office to intensify vaccination drives and implement the Iloilo City Animal Welfare Ordinance (Reg. Ord. 2024-141).
  • Flooding & DPWH Accountability
    • Councilor Romel D. Duron addressed recent unprecedented flooding affecting several barangays.
    • Resolution 2025-844 urgently requests the immediate transfer or reassignment of DPWH Iloilo City OIC District Engineer Roy C. Pacanan due to his refusal to attend city council investigations and alleged failure to cooperate.
